I have been researching learning and applications to education since 2008, and am now a Principal Investigator at a US institution of higher education. I gained experience conducting research in 4th grade classrooms (kids around 10 years old) during my doctoral program. I am also currently working on a project with high school students enrolled in Upward Bound Programs. In college, I also served as a substitute teacher making me more familiar with primary and secondary settings. My institution, Rhode Island College, has a heavier teaching load than many universities, and so I also teach roughly 3 classes per semester with a very diverse range of students.
